The Children and Teen’s Online Life

2. Aims:

With this project we aim to show to teachers and to parents how to have a close relationship with the internet, which is so present in our lives. The fact that parents and teachers do not know how to use the internet makes them, sometimes, so far away from the teens and children in their own homes and, consequently, they are somehow consenting that an unknown person may influence them.

We decided carry this project out to show the important role of the internet to all children and teens and how to do something to make them use it safely. Using the internet is necessary and useful because it is a tool that is part of modern life, and we should not ignore this fact. Quite the opposite, we should do it in a safe manner.

So thinking about the importance of the internet in the young’s life, and not just how to access it, is really the key to the world and to the children, adolescent and their families. They need to know how to keep themselves safe online to make it helpful for everyone who is exposed to bad influences of people who have committed crimes.

The data of research conducted by us will be able to help to prepare preventive and repressive actions to combat crimes committed by people who cause damage to children and teens through the internet.

We want teachers, parents, children and teens, together, to be able to enjoy all the resources offered to us by internet, in a healthy way.

3. Background:

We are interested in this project because we have heard about the occurrence of crimes and abuse committed against children and teens that must not happen. We are very concerned about it and we can do something to combat these illicit acts.

To do this research we previously read reports, articles and other sources. There were very concerning listening stories about the relationship among children, adolescents and their parents, and the cause of the problem is greatly because of the inappropriate use of the internet.

The world has changed; the computer is, now, part of everybody’s life, so it may be not a problem, but rather a useful instrument to base routine of the people. There are many families that have problems caused by the wrong use of the internet in a lot of homes. One attempt to reduce the effects of these problems is for parents to prohibit the children to access the internet, but nowadays it is not a good idea because everything that is forbidden is consequently more attractive.

According to journals we had read like BBC, O Globo, O Popular, and other, fifty-five percent of teenagers have some sort of social-networking-site presence, and, over 90 percent are online on a regular basis.

But another research made by  shows that today’s youth may be coming of age and struggling for autonomy and identity among new worlds for communication, friendship, play and self-expression. Many adults worry that children are online most of the time. The researchers like teachers, Academy of Paediatrics, parents who are concerned with the media’s effect on the health of children and educational foundation explain why youth find these activities important. The digital world is creating new opportunities for youth to get many social norms, explore interests, develop technical skills, experiment new forms of self-expression and obtain self-confidence, but without exaggerate using that can to cause dependency and to separate the children and teens of heir real live.

4. Significance:

The information that we will get with this research will be used for the development of a little book to orient all mothers, fathers and teachers how to deal with this new reality. This book will be funny to read and will have educational contents like tips, guidance and glossary with essential terms to understand how to use the internet in a better way, and how to prevent potential dangers in order to overcome that problem.

5. Description:

For a period of time we have studied and perceived that children and teens culture are surrounded by new media and technology. We have used data from journals, books, magazines and other source to conduct our project. Then we will use the information that we got to prepare preventive actions to combat crimes against children affected by the use of internet.

This project will serve to survey and to reflect about The Children and Teen’s Online Life at the first time, to carry our proposal which prioritize the prevention of the dangers caused by perverse people of bad character who use the internet to induce children and adolescent to practice misbehaviour.

6. Methodology:

The survey will be the first step to our proposal, which shall prioritize the prevention of the danger caused by the use of the internet without control among teenagers, interviewing and hanging out with 16-to-18-year-olds, and looking at how they use the internet, how they use social networking sites, instant messenger, cell phones and all new technology sources which they are exposed.

Then we will form a group of people responsible for receive and catalogue all kinds of crimes against teenager’s rights committed on the internet. After that, make available information in a homepage for free with clear objective to provide reliable and secure services about those dangerous, where teens help teens take healthy decisions, like how to make good use of home pages, blogs…

That is why it is vital that teen life on line recruit and train new counsellors all the time while sustaining its current group of teen volunteers.

7. Problems:

The Internet affords independence to teenagers that have not been seen again since the invention of the car. Teens are really able to escape from guardianship of their parents at home and go off with others in these really independent ways. Nowadays the teens more than leave home for a wander around, they travel by all world and they “know” or talk with all kind of people. This makes them able to have a public space even while they are at home yet. They are able to communicate with their friends and have an entire social life outside of the guardianship of their parents without actually having to leave the house.

Research made with adolescents proves that who spend many nights in front of the computer get many problems like disturbs of learning, lack of memory and sleep problems.

This fact is a big problem because we cannot control it. We think that it will be difficult to get information with them.

We are prepared to other difficulties like: people we hope to interview may not be available, necessitating going to other places; we may not find necessary or satisfactory information in books, journals, magazines, library or the internet.

MY NEW MOTHER

I will talk a history that happened this way: after a long time that my mother went away of my home my father got a new girlfriend. She would be a new mother to me.

Since my mother let us my father tokes care of me with love and attention. He always was a powerful and a good man, but now he would marriage again and I would had a new mother living in our home, with us. I didn’t know if it would be good. She was very polite all the time with me and very interesting in to be nice, but I was worried. In my opinion the marriage would be a big mistaking. I won’t like to see that woman living with may father and me, but it was day of  the wedding party.

She had prepared a great wedding party. It was a wonderful morning and everybody already walked of a side to other side in the beautiful garden of my house.

That morning I wasn’t well. I was tired of to see what was happening. All things had a strange appearance, I thought, but the marriage ceremony began. My new mother came in at the garden. All guests looked to her. I turned my head and looked to her eyes. I didn’t want to see my father to marriage with that woman. Looked to my father, and then looked to that woman. That woman would be my new mother. I could interrupt that ceremony. My father would be alone again, with me, but he was so happy!… So, I didn’t anything!

I stayed quiet by time, and then I sat down and accepted the marriage of my father. It would be the best thing to everybody, after all, my father was alone by a long time and that woman could be a good partner for him.

JURUBATUBA

Jurubatuba is a novel written by “mineiro” Carmo Bernardes who naturalized Goiano. In this work Carmo Bernardes maintains the main feature that is in his other books “caipiras” of the “cerrado goiano”, with all its musicality and rhythm of thes language.

In Jurubataba, as in all his works Carmo Bernardes describes our “sertões”, animals and plants that live in there with details of expert in nature, also know the feelings of the man of the field, their customs and their worries seeing their values it as a product of the environment and the sufferings of life.

The book Jurubatuba presents few characters and holds the attention of the reader not only by the action of these characters but also by author’s ability to create and use the language as it is spoken by “sertanejos”‘  but don’t gives opinion  if it’s rigth or wrong. Carmo Bernardes respects the variety of our language, because he defends the idea that the “language belongs to the people”

Reading this book the reader often not knows if what is wrote it’s real or not, so expressive is the narrative of the actions and like he describes the history environment.

The main characters of the novel form a lovely triangle and they live many situations that revels to us the psyclogical and moral aspect of every  one.

Ramiro is a young man who appears on the farm Jurubatuba. He has good appearance but he is a litle rebe because his lowe social condition. He likes to walk without having a fixed residence. Some time he interruped his long walk at to arrive in a farm  Jurubatuba. In Jurubatuba Ramiro  met  Ermira Ermira, the nice owner of Jurubatuba and fall in love by her. The owner of the farm was married for convenience with an old man who had any attractive, Sizefredo. The both live an ardent love-affair. Ramiro, hoping to get married with Ermira, poisoned her husband and kill him. Ermira don’t acepted the love of Ramiro who was despointed and go away to an unkown place. He was sure that had beeing a diversion for Ermira. Actual she never loved him, she wanted only to have an affair with him, so Ramiro go away o f Jurubatuba and he left everybody behind to go on his long walke by unkown lands.

The movie The Devil Wears Prada it’s based on the best seller book of the same name writing by Lauren Weiberger and it was making by David Frankel. This movie is a romantic comedy and shows the Frankel’s view about young people that come to live in a big city with great ambitions where everyone’s beautiful and everyone wears great clothes.

The main character of this movie is Miranda Priesley, is played by screen legend Meryl Streep, Andrea, is played by Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, the colleague of her.

The movie tells the professional adventure of Andrea that has a dream: To become a journalist, but get a job in Runway magazine, the most famous magazine of the fashion industry of New York.

Miranda Priesley, the Andrea’s boss and director of the Runway Magazine is a terror to everyone that is around her, but Andrea never read the magazine and doesn’t know who Miranda was.

Everyone who work in the Runway magazine was very fashion but, Andrea not showing fashion sense was immediately scorned by her colleagues.

Andrea had to change her simple live and her plain style for a elegant girl to be accept by her boss and colleagues.

Miranda gave to Andrea impossible tasks leaving her without a private live with her boyfriend and her friends. Afterward a some time now Andreas was very preoccupied about her future In the magazine.

Andrea was indecisive if her go on to work in the Runway Magazine or if she would back to her career of journalist, so he is so forced to make a decisions about what she wanted to be in her life.

This is a great movie, but extremely critical with the physical appearance. It shows a big work of this actress, but the great star of this movie is the fashion world.

Women in field

            The feminine soccer was born in England for return of the year of 1920. To participate of this modality of sport the women they had that to win many barriers that hindered its growth the sportswomen that they were penetrating in an area that is always dominated by men.

In Brazil the facts had not happened in different way and until nowadays still they are behind sponsorship and they do not obtain, therefore they face pair hours of working. Beyond the daily trainings the women they keep its jobs to keep the costs of the sport and to help in the income of the family.

Depite of all these problems the Brazilian selection of feminine soccer already won some championships national and South Americans and always had good participation in the world-wide championships.

In the fields the women of the soccer face the same problems faced by the men: hissing and offences in high shout, but also win this challenge.

Although the difficult situations the feminine soccer can be more and more  better, it’s necessary to receive the enough support from the society and the sponsorship of great companies to increase the courage of these women for whom the modality of feminine sport continues growing up and being fortified.

To combat the violence is responsibility of every one

The violence in the streets of Brazilian cities is very frightened. The fights between people in the traffic and in bars scare everybody, but this violence is inside of the school too and it damages a good formation of all our children.

According to student’s parents and headmistress of several schools the pedagogic actions can be a powerful instrument that the population can use against the violence.

It was suggested by Universidade de Brasília that did a study about this subject. According this study in the school where everybody do something to combat the violence together other people, the violence is smaller than other school that the people don’t took this attitude  and did nothing together with other people to combat the violence.

In some of Brazilian states the violence decreased until 35% because the community and the school to take a rigth attitud to change this terrible situation and they dicovered they can to associate against this social problem and this way to win it.

In Paraná, for example, the violence was reduced 34%, because to reduce the violence in the school and in the community every person did something and compromised itself  with a little effort to solve this problem or at last reduce it in our socity.

 Goiania

In this text I will talk about Goiania, the beautiful and green capital of Goias, a state that is in heart of Brazil.

Goiania is a city full of charm, it’s situated in the central region of Brazil it has a pleasant tropical climate and gardens full of all kinds of tropical flowers.

Goiania can be considered a touristic city because in it has many beautiful and friendly people and counts on one of the excelent structure to receive tourists of the whole world with excellent hotels, restaurants, Convention Center and Cultural Centers.  

In Goiania there are too, large and cozy shopping centers, movies, theatres and many bars to everyone meet for a happy hour every afternoon.

Woods and parks become Goiania in a decorated city during all the year. Among them there is the Botanic Garden with two parts: one open to public visitation and other part considered as a biological reserve.

Goiania counts with many cultural centers and other place to do all kinds of cultural events and business events. Besides, there are museums to show the people’s history. There is too an important and particular museum, the Ornithological Museum with animals of the “cerrado”.

Every visitor that came to Goiania will never forget its pleasant  restaurants that make typical foods with exotic animals and fruits of that Brazil central region.

In Goiania there are all things that I sad and much more to see. Everybody might come here to know it better.
